SMETalks E-Commerce webinar concluded successfully
The very first hybrid webinar in the UAE on E-Commerce after COVID - 19: A New Era, New Trends, organized and conceived by SMETalks on the 30th September 2020 in Dubai, U.A.E. The event aimed to bring business owners and thought leaders together under one roof to address the challenges and rising trends in the E-commerce industry due to COVID- 19 and its impact on the SME community. The event also focused highly on a B2B level discussion to lend backing to the growing number of SMEs in the UAE. Furthermore, the focal point that the webinar has highlighted is the pivotal moment in time that we are currently living through due to Covid-19 and how it has opened doors to SMEs to make the move to online e-commerce and shed the restraints of brick and mortar behind.
The speakers were handpicked with expertise in this sector and our immensely successful Emirati entrepreneurs that own e-commerce businesses in the UAE. Mr. Walid Hareb Al Falahi, the Chief Executive, Dubai Consultancy was the acting moderator during the webinar. Mr. Mohsen Ahmad, the CEO - Logistics District, Dubai South, and an instrumental player in developing and setting up the Dubai logistics corridor. Mr. Sarmad Al Zadjaly, Co-Founder and CEO, of the Sharjah SME award in 2019 ‘Tawseel Orders Delivery Services L.L.C’. Mr. Fahim Al Zubaidi, CEO and Co-Founder of the very first Emirati e-commerce platform for the promotion of home projects in the UAE the ‘Akshaak Platform’.
The hybrid webinar took place both in-person by inviting speakers and covering them live while it was attended over 3 platforms to maximize its reach widely, SMETalks broadcasted the session over the popular video-sharing platform ‘YouTube’, as well as the social media platform ‘Instagram’ and on the video communications platform ‘Zoom’. The webinar was simultaneously broadcasted live across all three platforms with an English highlight reel to cater to the English-speaking demographic followed by Q-A from attendees via Zoom.
The first portion of the webinar highlighted the predetermined topics relating to E-commerce after Covid-19 with each speaker to further share their insightful learnings and experience in this industry and discussing about last mile delivery, cash on delivery, going from physical to digital so on and so forth.
The webinar was followed by interaction with the SME community as well as answering question being asked live across the platforms and concluded with felicitation ceremony and vote of thanks by the moderator. The webinar amassed a turnout of a whopping 500+ viewers across all platforms of UAE based SMEs of every level.
